Arcmelt - Performance-Enhanced Alloys and CoatingsArcMelt™ intends to be the largest sub-contract manufacturer of performance enhanced alloys. Our customers are well aware of their current alloy performance problems and this is the reason that ArcMelt has chosen to work solely with high alloy-composite technologies. ArcMelt's product line consist of alloys whose applied structure is of greater importance than its actual chemistry; an approach often overlooked in industry. ArcMelt's thermally applied wire feed stocks offer performance characteristics not found in any other overlay. MULTI-LAYERED COMPOSITE ALLOY WIREOur multi-layered composite alloys offer:
QUASI-COMPOSITE ALLOY WIREArcMelt can manufacture virtually any alloy chemistry using minimal resources, and allow the utilisation of powder metal or ceramic technology. A broad range of tubing and powder chemistry is commercially available. Larger diameter wires can be produced, which translates to faster deposition rates for both welding and spray. PRECIPITATED CARBIDE THERMAL SPRAYED COATINGOur precipitated carbide thermal sprayed coating:
DISPERSED OXIDE COATING SYSTEMOur dispersed oxide coating system provides customized coating, structure and resulting chemistry, and homogeneous distributions of oxides inherently reduce the internal stresses normally associated with high chrome-containing alloys. Oxide protection is characteristic throughout the coating thickness, as opposed to only its surface, which is ideal for reducing environments. There are no oxide stringers or cracks to initiate interparticle corrosion, and it is resistant to cracking in high-temperature thermal cycling environments. RAP ALLOY POWDEROur RAP alloy powder provides:
AMC 4301 FE/CR/NI/AL/B IRON-BASED COATINGA product designed primarily as an iron-based intermetallic composite for the mining industry, the function of this coating is to produce a slick wear surface, thereby reducing the potential for adhesion ware.
AMC 4302 NI/AL HARD-METAL COATING
AMC 4303 FE/NI/AL COATINGA product designed primarily for restoration of dimension yet has proven to be a good film former at high temperature, this coating is used for machine element and component repair. The coating's structure is similar to cast steel, with benefits ranging from ease of machining and thermo expansion properties similar to low-alloy steel. 4305 COATINGArcmelt's proprietary 4305 coating is especially designed for use in the Twin Wire Arc System (TWAS). It is particularly useful in large-scale applications or where a thicker coating is required. Arcmelt 4305 has excellent pitting corrosion-resistance, coupled with improved mechanical properties. This coating is extremely dense, and can be ground and polished to below 5μin. Surface hardness has exceeded 70RC, while the body of the coating remains ductile 45RC. The coating is excellent for metal-to-metal contact when little or no lubrication is available.
