ISH Frankfurt – A Review

At the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt LOOS INTERNATIONAL presented the innovations being offered by the company in the steam and hot water boiler sector with the motto 'LOOS - the reference for steam and hot water'.
The product launch of the new UNIVERSAL Modular Boiler U-MB steam boiler series was celebrated as part of a multi-media artistic show. Modular and flexible, fully automatic, easy to maintain and service, low-emission, energy-saving, high-quality and cost-effective – these are the characteristics of this new development.
Outstanding performance and superb flexibility also characterise the performances of Andrea Engler, who presented the new boiler in a breath-taking show of acrobatic artistry using vertically suspended cloths. In an interview that followed, Markus Tuffner, head of marketing services, talked about the superb qualities of the U-MB. "With the LOOS UNIVERSAL U-MB we have succeeded in developing a steam boiler using the shell structure with three-pass technology in the performance range up to 2,000kg/h, which is ultra-modern in terms of efficiency and automation and which is characterised by low-investment costs."
The U-MB steam boiler consists of several modules, which are selected specifically per order. The heat-generating component, steam module and Economizer module are configured to suit the emissions and steam quality requirements. The basic equipment includes technology for teleservicing capability and an intuitiveLBC TouchScreen control. An automatic start-up mechanism means that the steam generator can be started up automatically at the press of a button or using an external starter signal from the cold state. Overload protection ensures first-class steam quality irrespective of consumer behaviour. The consistent use of parts that are identical to those used in other LOOS model series and modules means that it has been possible to create a three-pass shell steam boiler that offers unbeatable value for money.
As a result of its considerable involvement in research and development, LOOS is regularly able to come up with innovative products at the cutting edge of technology. The trade public confirms LOOS's leading market position in the field of shell boiler technology, and it was felt that the presentation of the new boiler, combined with the multimedia artistic show, was a truly special experience.
