Solvina has been awarded a prestigious project by Holmen Iggesund Paperboard in Sweden. The company is investing in a new chemicals recovery boiler and power turbine, and Solvina will play a central role in the control and power engineering of this project.
Steam net controls will be designed, tuned and commissioned by using dynamic simulation. The turbine control will be optimised for an island operation, using the unique simulator test facility SolvSim power station. Solvina will also develop and deliver a new operator training simulator for the steam and power system, and perform operator training.
The project commences in December 2010 and will be finished in January 2013.
