Jetting Systems has recently fulfilled a €1 million contract in the UK, for a fully automated reactor vessel cleaning system to a major international producer of speciality chemicals.
Produced in Germany by principal’s URACA, the ATEX-compliant installation features a 250Kw, KD725 high-pressure water pump, delivering 520 bar pressure to automated cleaning stations situated at each of five reactors. Each cleaning station is equipped with a local control panel for local operation, hose reel and the latest in TWK three-dimensional tank cleaning technology.
Operation of the system is through the clients' main DCS command centre via the high-pressure pump system PLC and permits vessel pre-selection, cycle time and tank head positioning to be programmed and confirmed.
The project was extremely challenging due to existing plant construction constraints, but nevertheless was completed on time and on budget.
The new automated system replaces traditional manual cleaning methods and has resulted in significant cleaning cycle time savings and vastly improved cleaning quality.
