GE Energy - Jenbacher Gas Engines

GE's Jenbacher gas engine division is one of the world's leading manufacturers of gas-fueled reciprocating engines, packaged generator sets and cogeneration units for power generation. It is one of the only companies in the world focusing exclusively on gas engine technology. GE's Jenbacher product team has its headquarters, main production facilities, and 1,400 of its about 1,800 worldwide employees in Jenbach, Austria. GE also operates two regional gas engine assembly facilities in Hangzhou, China, and in Veresegyház, Hungary.

Jenbacher product portfolio

GE's Jenbacher gas engines range in power from 0.25MW to 4.4MW and run on either natural gas or a variety of other gases (e.g., biogas, landfill gas, coal mine gas, sewage gas, combustible industrial waste gases).

A broad range of commercial, industrial and municipal customers use Jenbacher products for on-site generation of power, heat and cooling. Patented combustion systems, engine controls, and monitoring enable its power generation plants to meet stringent emission standards, while offering high levels of efficiency, durability and reliability.

Jenbacher service

GE Power & Water's Jenbacher product team custom-designs service agreements tailored to the individual needs of customers. Jenbacher service centers, strategically located in more than 60 countries, offer unparalleled product support, including in-depth customer training provided by expert staff.

In addition, the in-house Jenbacher Competence Center uses remote diagnosis and remote servicing and is run by a team of experienced and highly-qualified commissioning service engineers, ensuring timely and accurate technical support. The Jenbacher Training Center, located in Jenbach, offers specific participant-oriented training courses for customers, operators and sales as well as service providers. Hands-on training programs are offered either at the customer site or at the Training Center.
