Jenbacher Further Dominates the Spanish Environmental Energy Sector

(Barcelona) In January of this year, within the frame of the Symposium ‚Cogeneration‘, which was to date known under the name ‚Gas Natural‘, the Spanish subsidiary of the Austrian energy specialists Jenbacher AG, was awarded with a prize for their business success in the environmental sector. Jenbacher, as deliverer of CHP units and Gen-Sets, which can run on Natural Gas as well as Bio and Special gases, makes an important contribution to the protection of the environment and to CO2 reduction.
For years, Jenbacher S.L., with branches in Barcelona and Madrid has been the most successful Spanish supplier in the field with respect to the environment. This year, a particularly difficult year for the energy branch, Jenbacher was able to further build the lead over its competitors. Jenbacher S.L. holds a market share of around 40 percent, measured by installed sites. „We have sold 70 modules in 2001“, delights Director Helmut Kantner over the success of the company. „Thus Jenbacher has improved its market position in Spain and grown in the environmental sector. The three biggest landfill sites in Spain, one of which is the biggest in the world, were equipped by Jenbacher.“
The directors of the daughter company, Helmut Kanter and Alejandro Held, received the prize on behalf of all employees. The award was presented by the Austrian foreign trade delegate in Spain, Dr. Heinz Walter, and the Sales Director of Jenbacher AG, Dipl. Ing. Helmut Drotziger, who congratulated the successful subsidiary on their contribution to the company and to the environment.
