1MW LFG and Digester Gas Fueled Genset Nearing Commercial Launch

Turbo Genset Inc (TGC) is excited to announce that they, along with their development partners, have successfully completed testing of the industrialized turbine that will be the prime mover for a family of compact and economical generation systems ideal for low BTU (such as biogas) gas fueled on-site power use.
The low cost industrial turbine, which is based upon an aero turbine with over 40 million hours of proven performance, was tested to full power on several low BTU gaseous fuels with BTU content as low as 450 BTU/SCF.
Michael Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of Turbo Genset stated "The successful testing of the industrial turbine is a strong indicator of the rapid progress that has been made towards the completion of this generating system. We are confident that this 1MW generating system will be an economical generating system for many alternative fuel applications including remote users when it is commercially available at the end of this year."
The 1MW class turbine will be integrated into a generating system utilizing a gearbox and synchronous generator which will be available for commercial installations in December, 2005. In 2006, further development will lead to a generating system which utilizes TGC's proprietary generator and power electronics which will both increase the reliability of the generating system and increase the power rating of the complete genset.
