Surface condenser plants and heat exchangers for power stations, refineries and industrial plants

Our core business is surface condenser plants and heat exchangers. We provide reliable, high-quality equipment for use in power stations, refineries and industrial plants.

Construction-tube heat exchangers

We offer a full range of TEMA-type single-pass and multi-pass construction tube heat exchangers:

• With straight tubes and fixed tube sheets
• With straight tubes and floating head
• With U-tubes

Gasketed-plate heat exchangers

Our gasketed-plate heat exchangers are applicable in many areas for heating/cooling, for example in the pulp and paper industry, power stations, refineries and industrial plants, heat recovery units, HVAC units, and many more. They can meet a pressure rating up to 25bar and temperatures up to 200ºC.

Semi-welded plate heat exchangers

Semi-welded plate heat exchangers are useful for high-temperature and high-pressure applications as well as for refrigeration and aggressive products. The plate pack is built up in plate cassettes (two plates welded together) and can easily be disassembled and cleaned on the secondary side.

Plate and shell heat exchangers

Plate and shell heat exchangers work in the same way as an ordinary tubular unit. However, they are more efficient because plates have been used instead of tubes.

The plates are laser/TIG welded to form a plate pack, which is then mounted inside a traditional cylindrical shell. They can meet a pressure rating up to PN16/PN25 and a maximum temperature of 250ºC.

Pulp and paper industry heat exchangers

With more than 40 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry, we can supply heat exchangers for the most demanding applications including handling filtrates, effluents, black and white liqueurs, turpentine, and gases.

Power station heat exchangers

For power industry and heating/cooling engineering we supply heat exchangers, pre-heaters, condensers, steam heaters and coolers for gas, water and oil.

Refinery and petrochemistry heat exchangers

We fulfil the extremely high quality requirements of the oil and gas industry. All types of heat exchangers for oil and gas products and petrochemicals can be designed and manufactured by us, including units for condensing of hydrocarbons and ammonia.

Mechanical, electrical and automation design for heat exchangers

Beside mechanical design we can also perform electrical and automation design for our products. Tapiro's strength is combining our expertise and process know-how in thermal and mechanical design with high quality and modern manufacturing.

Our engineering ranges from the selection of equipment to thermal calculations and strength calculations, using state-of-the-art software like Aspentech, Ohmtech, Inventor and specially developed company selection programs.

ISO-certified surface condenser plants and heat exchangers

The company's headquarters is in Helsinki and we have — with our one-source sister company Teemastek — our own production base in Finland.

All our equipment is designed in accordance with EN 13445, ASME, ADM or PD5500 standards, and complex and difficult process simulations can be performed.

Our production facility is ISO 9001-quality certified and we apply TEMA and HEI standards in design and production. We are also certified to German TÜV, EN 729-2, TRD201 and AD2000 Merkblatt HP0 standards.

The quality control is well organised and integrated as a part of our daily work. Each phase of manufacturing is subject to systematic inspections and quality checks. The material flow is controlled at every stage of production.

With a 4,600m² production facility, a modern in-house machinery park, an in-house paint shop and of course our committed and experienced people, we can guarantee the highest-quality condenser plants and heat exchangers.
