Vestas Aircoil - Industrial Air / Water Coolant SystemsVestas aircoil A/S is a Danish company that manufactures cooling systems (charge air coolers, cooling towers and radiator coolers) on a global scale for the marine, industrial and energy sectors. Vestas aircoil has more than 30 years experience in producing cooling towers. Over this period we have built a customer portfolio that includes prestigious companies such as Novo Nordisk, MAN B&W, Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S (BWSC) and Lego. DIESEL ENGINE CHARGE AIR COOLERS AND HEAT EXCHANGER SOLUTIONSVestas aircoil designs charge air cooling systems for marine and power plant diesel engines, 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines and gas engines. Our charge air coolers can be supplied for both new and existing engines, no matter where the engine was built or who supplied the coolers originally. Vestas specialises in manufacturing approved replacement air coolers for most applications. In addition, Vestas aircoil now offers design solutions for all other types of heat exchangers including shell and tube, plate heat exchangers, radiators, air conditioning, etc. COOLING TOWERSVestas aircoil's cooling towers offer the cheapest, most efficient and most natural method for cooling water. In a cooling tower, water flows against an airflow down a liner with a large surface area. This direct contact between water and air causes a small amount of water to evaporate, thereby cooling the remainder of the circulating water. Cooling towers may be used to great advantage in industries using cooling water, e.g. in process cooling, cooling of condensers, hydraulic oil, autoclaves, evaporators, extruders, fermenters, engine testing beds and power stations. RADIATOR COOLERSThe radiator cooler, also known as the dry cooler or the fluid cooler, is a supplementary product for use with our cooling towers. In a radiator cooler, the cooled media (glycol, water and other substances) and the cooling media (air) are separated by a pipe wall. The temperature of the air is the lower cooling limit. In the many applications where water disposes of the surplus heat from a process, the radiator cooler is suitable where the outlet temperature is higher than the surrounding air temperature. The outlet temperature of the radiator cooler should be 5°C higher than the air temperature. CHARGE AIR COOLERSVestas aircoil's charge air coolers are installed on supercharged diesel engines, to remove heat from the charge air. The heat builds up in the inlet air as it is pressurised by the turbo charger. When the charged air passes through the tube and fin-cooling block, heat is transferred to the cooling water in the tubes. In this way the engine receives cold air at high pressure to ensure efficient combustion and cooling of highly heat-loaded engine components. The cooler can feature either single or multiple stages. Vestas aircoil's charge air coolers are supplied in three basic models:
