Bachmann Dampjoint - Dampers, Metal Expansion Joints, Fabric Expansion Joints

Bachmann Dampjoint Inc (BDI), located near Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a custom damper and metal / fabric expansion joint designer and manufacturer. Having its beginnings back in the early 1970s, BDI as it exists now has been in operation since January 1995. BDI is not affiliated nor associated with any other damper or expansion joint company.

Guillotine dampers

Our guillotine dampers are designed for service from ambient to elevated temperatures up to 2,000°F, for clean, dirty and/or corrosive environments.

Louver dampers

Our single and double louver dampers are custom-designed for low and high temperature (up to 2,000°F). 100% isolation is possible when optional seal air is used.

Gas flow diverters

Gas flow diverters (GFDs) are available in all sizes with optional inlet diffusers and transitions together with optional isolating guillotines and stack caps, associated ducting bypass and stacks.

Fabric expansion joints

Our fabric expansion joints are available in a range of designs that are suitable for low or high-temperature services. We also provide very specialized expansion joints for gas turbine exhaust systems.

Metal expansion joints (low pressure)

We specialize in the design of camera corner expansion joints for rectangular ducts or bellows convoluted-type expansion joints for use by the utility industry in critical areas of the plant.

Metal expansion joints (high pressure)

Our metal expansion joints (high pressure) are custom-designed for high-temperature / high-pressure service seen in the petrochemical industry and/or other industries.

Specialty fabrication services

Our specialty fabrication services include pressure vessels, pressure piping, fittings, tubular heat exchangers, sophisticated components and the like.

Our own modern, highly qualified fabrication shop is fully equipped and can manufacture 100% of its products.

Our current QA/QC programs include ISO 9001 and ASME Section VIII. BDI is a holder of an ASME 'U' stamp. High-pressure expansion joints, pressure vessels and piping components are designed and built in accordance with CSA B51, ASME Section VIII Div. 1, and/or ASME B31.1, 31.3, 31.5. Our welders are qualified and certified to ASME Section IX. Top-notch quality is assured.
