TRANSFORMERS AND REACTORS

Modern produces different types of transformers and reactors that are installed in its power conditioning equipments. Its low voltage dry type iron core transformers which include isolation transformers, auto transformers, constant voltage transformers / stabilizers, vector transformers, voltage regulators, filter reactors etc. are custom made as per the specifications of its customers.

ISOLATION TRANSFORMERS

Isolation transformers help in establishing a new neutral-ground bond to correct ground problems and also provides conversion of Delta system to a Wye connected system. It is possible to add electrostatic shields in isolation transformers to protect the winding from high-frequency impulses. Hence, isolation transformers are ideal to be used in power conditioners. At the input terminal, 3rd harmonic wave distortions can be reduced and at the output terminal, current wave distortions can be isolated and reduced.

AUTO TRANSFORMERS

Auto transformers help to increase / decrease the power voltage and reduce energy consumption. Modern produces auto transformers with one coil tap and are used various applications.

AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATORS

Modern’s automatic voltage regulators come with patented wire drive and roll brush and can regulate wide range of voltages. These voltage regulators have long life and are easy to control and maintain. Considered as highly efficient voltage regulators, they do not exhibit wave and phase distortions. Standard voltage regulators can be combined with controllers and integrated into Automatic Voltage Regulators (AVR).

STABILIZERS / CONSTANT VOLTAGE TRANSFORMERS (CVT)

The stabilizers / constant voltage transformers are a 3-in-1 transformer with isolation transformer, bi-directional filter, and wide-range voltage regulator integrated into it. The stabilizer / constant voltage transformer is specifically used for instruments that are sensitive to heavy interference in mains. Isolation is provided between input and output.

FILTER REACTORS

Modern designs and produces tuned and detuned filter reactors. It is applied in low voltage reactive power compensation and active or passive harmonic filter combined with condenser in cabinets to achieve compensation reactive power and harmonic filter in network.
