In September, DEKOMTE were invited to the annual conference of the CFE Station Managers Conference. CFE is the state owned power utility company in Mexico, owning 75% of the countries generation capacity.

The seminar at the conference focused on the problems many power stations have with metallic bellows in the oil fired power stations. Current joints on the exhaust and air heater have a life of 6 to 12 months and cause the stations considerable maintenance cost and planning problems. DEKOMTE have proposed various technical based solutions, using the latest fabric joint experience and technology.

Following the conference seminar, DEKOMTE was then invited to make three further longer detailed presentations to groups of engineers in three separate regions of CFE in Mexico. The feedback and discussions of problems and potential solutions was very good, with a basis laid for a qualified co-operation and development of tailored solutions of the plants for the future.

The company DEKOMTE de Temple Kompensatortechnik GmbH was respresented by Mr. Jake Sisson. He is the Managing Director of the DEKOMTE subsidiary in the UK.
