kompaflex have been manufacturing tailor-made expansion joints solutions for 25 years. We offer multi-ply rectangular expansion joints in a range of dimensions for use in vacuum and ultra-vacuum areas. Our expansion joints have inner layers of corrosive and abrasive resistant materials to ensure functioning in abrasive and corrosive media.

In total around 100 employees work for kompaflex in our headquarters in Switzerland. Our second production is in the Czech Republic and our joint venture company kompaflex DMM for fabric expansion joints is based in Slovakia. Highest customer satisfaction is guaranteed through our very experienced in-house design team and our quality-conscious manufacturing.

MULTI-PLY RECTANGULAR EXPANSION JOINTS

For round expansion joints any cross-section from 15mm to 12,000mm can be manufactured in standard diameters according to DIN 1626, DIN 24154 and ANSI B 36.10, ANSI B 16.25.

The geometry of the undulations is calculated and optimized individually for each application.

Non-standard intermediate sizes from 250mm upwards can be manufactured without additional cost.

We are able to produce any kind of round, triangle, oval and world exclusive multi-ply rectangular expansion joints without welding in the corners.

VACUUM AND HIGH-PRESSURE APPLICATIONS

kompaflex has a great extent of experience and technical know-how in constructing expansion joints for vacuum and ultra-vacuum areas. A total of X ultra-high vacuum expansion joints have been delivered for the fusion reactor project Wendelstein 7-X of the Max Planck Institute.

kompaflex has successfully designed and produced high-pressure expansion joints for up to 720bar test pressure, like the expansion joint on the right for a Voest Alpine Stahl Linz furnace.

CORROSION RESISTANT MATERIALS

Special techniques like inner layers of corrosive and abrasive resistant materials are applied to ensure the functioning of kompaflex expansion joints in abrasive and corrosive media.

EXPRESS DELIVERY

kompaflex is able to make express deliveries within one to two weeks including design and technical approvals, thanks to our flexible organizational structure and our big store of exotic alloys like Inconel 600.

For example, kompaflex has delivered over 180 expansion joints for Siemens gas turbines Type V64.3A, V84.3A and V94.3A since 1998. Every single one of these expansion joints are still running today without any complaint.
