Snap rings and retaining rings

TFC provides robust snap rings and retaining rings in a range of heavy-duty sizes ideal for use in wind turbines, generators, gearbox bearings, yaw systems and many other retaining applications. TFC offers over 5,000 standard spiral rings, which are readily available in both carbon and stainless steel. TFC offers large specialist sizes in a variety of materials for corrosive environments from stock, with cost-effective low volume custom designs available.

Crest-to-Crest wave springs

Compact in design, durable, with good fatigue life and dimensional uniformity, Crest-to-Crest wave springs offer the unique advantage of assembly space savings. They can maintain the same force and load specifications of a conventional round wire spring, yet occupy 50% or less of the axial space, resulting in lowered operating heights, free heights, and solid heights.

Over 500 sizes of Smalley Crest-to-Crest Spirawave springs are available in a choice of either carbon spring steel, 17-7 Ph stainless steel, AISI 316, high-temperature corrosion-resistant Inconel X-750, A-286, Elgiloy, non-magnetic beryllium copper and phosphor bronze materials.

Laminar sealing rings

Our laminar sealing rings are a metallic labyrinth of seals consisting of multiple rings in a groove, designed to protect components in assemblies from outside conditions. The rings are manufactured from a large variety of steels and alloys to withstand extreme temperatures and highly corrosive hostile environments. These rings are perfect for turbine generator drive shafts, gearbox bearings, piston shafts, wind turbines and many others.

A flexible no-tooling-cost process allows virtually any size and duty ring to be designed into an application, at a reasonable cost. This gives you the opportunity to produce low volume proto-types or production quantities to suit your application and budget.

Threaded fasteners

Socket caps, machine screws, HT bolts; the list goes on. TFC has the threaded fastener solution for all, with sizes ranging from micro M2 through to large M20 and above. Many parts are available in a variety of materials and finishes, made to American or European standards.
