Over the past decade Technisch Bureau Dahlman B.V. has developed from an air-intake supplier to a total solution supplier for all filtration and noise control equipment for gas turbines and compressor systems. Dahlman provides complete systems for managing the air-intake and discharge of gas turbines. We specialise in the delivery and installation of all filtration and acoustic auxiliary equipment, such as:

AIR INTAKE FILTER SYSTEMS

For European environments ‘classic’ air intake filter systems with replaceable filter elements are usually selected. We can offer all types of filter elements in one or more filter stages from G3 up to H12.

PULSE FILTERS

In areas with desert conditions or high dust volumes in the environment, pulse-type filters (horizontal or vertical) can be selected to avoid frequent changes of filter elements. Problems caused by humidity and chemical components in industrial areas should be carefully assessed before making the final choice.

ACOUSTIC PACKAGES

The execution of the acoustic package is dependent on the noise limitations on site and the type of gas turbine used. Our experience enables us to determine and calculate the entire acoustic burden, including the sound power levels from additional equipment supplied by other parties.

EXHAUST SYSTEMS

The new housing and repair of exhaust systems is a real Dahlman specialism. Here temperatures exceed 500°C. This requires a special design and production process that uses special welding methods and construction materials. Flow temperatures and speed profiles are simulated to ensure a correct design and to guarantee a long life.

INDUSTRIAL NOISE CONTROL

Besides our acoustic activities for gas turbines, Dahlman is able to deliver acoustic systems to ensure better working conditions for your employees and the meeting of the stringent noise limitations demanded by government departments.

Noise control is a specialised business where ‘standard’ noise-reduction equipment is not sufficient to meet the stringent requirements involved. Our practical approach and possibilities can be summarised as follows:

• Noise measurements on site, when the required noise data is not available
• Advise, in a practical report, on how the specific noise sources can be reduced
• Engineering, fabrication and installation of new acoustic systems on site
• Optimisation of existing noise-reduction equipment
