We specialize in the manufacture of contamination control filters for gland seal systems.

Applying effective contamination control measures to your gland seal system can significantly cut downtime and maintenance costs. Seal deterioration caused by fluid contaminants can cause catastrophic failure and shut down your generator, incurring substantial costs.

Our filter systems ensure that filtration takes place between the pump and the generator, ensuring that contaminants are prevented from destroying the seals. A filter system acts as an insurance policy: it provides continuous protection to your seals. In the event of pump failure, its true value becomes apparent.

Highly compact and with a high dirt-holding capacity, Schroeder contamination control systems are inexpensive to maintain once the initial startup costs have been met. Our systems are also composed of duplex elements that can be easily changed during service, thereby avoiding downtime.

The generator seal system lubricates the generator seals and prevents hydrogen gas from escaping from the generator, while not introducing an excessive amount of air and moisture into the generator. The system is heavily dependent on the dual "gland" seals and clean oil is imperative to maintain and protect them. If a seal is damaged the generator must be shut down for repair.

The sampling of fluids for monitoring particle and water contamination levels can be effectively carried out by Schroeder Check® testpoints and hoses. The kidney loop system filters fluid off-line for maximum protection. A dual system feature is available to remove both water and particulate contamination.

Use Schroeder's mobile filtration system to filter fluid as it is transferred, and to flush gearboxes prior to use. Dual system is available for the removal of both water and particulate contamination.

Finally, our Filtration Station® offers automated flushing and filling via an interactive touch screen. The Filtration Station features an integrated particle monitor and can print ISO cleanliness reports.
