FG Wilson is among the largest generating manufacturers in the world producing up to 50,000 generating sets per annum. The company manufacture both diesel and gas powered sets with power outputs covering from 5 - 2,500kVA. This includes everything from small generators for standby domestic use up to units with the facility to operate as complete power stations supplying electricity for national grids.

MANUFACTURING AND PRODUCTION

Manufacturing and production takes place in Northern Ireland. Our production and manufacturing processes are being continually improved and developed to ensure that our products are at the forefront of the industry in terms of both technology and quality.

• DC Electric Torque machinery uses specialist equipment that allows 100% accuracy in our bolt and fastener tightening mechanisms leading to a better quality product
• Specialist Laser/Plasma cutting machines with increased cutting speeds are used to ensure high precision
• Sheet metal is profiled using our high speed Bystronic Lasers resulting in extremely accurate finishes
• Folding machines have extended stroke for folding deep sections and giving accurate finishes on our baseframes and canopies

We believe that product development is an on-going process, responding to the changing needs and expectations of our customers, new legislative requirements and opportunities afforded by new technology.

STANDARD AND CUSTOMISED GENERATING SETS

At FG Wilson we produce both standard and customised generating sets to suit the individual needs of our customers.

The range from 8 - 40kVA is typically used for power in offices, shops and clinics and for domestic purposes.

From 22 - 150kVA the machines are generally used by workshops, offices, telecommunications companies, site power and the retail and financial sectors. These sets can also be produced for use in our expanding rental market.

The gensets powered from 160 - 275kVA are used by workshops, offices, telecommunications companies, schools, the retail and financial sectors and the rental market.

Our machines from 300 - 880kVA are mainly used for factories, office buildings, telecommunications, site power, hospitals, airports and the rental market.

The largest range of gensets from 880 - 2,500kVA are usually complex units and are therefore designed and built to the customer's specific requirements.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Customer support is provided on a global scale through our strong sales team, which includes employees based at headquarters in Larne, employees in our worldwide sales offices and individual dealers located in over 150 countries throughout the world.

SALES SUPPORT

Sales support is also available from our Technical Helpdesk. The Helpdesk is staffed by experts who are able to respond to queries and ensure that, where possible, these are answered and completed within 24 hours. This enables our global network to respond quickly to any customer request for technical information or help.

The growth of FG Wilson has been largely governed by export, which currently accounts for over 90% of total production. Today we supply into more than 170 countries around the world through our sales offices and dealer network.

At FG Wilson, the commitment to our customers worldwide continues from initial contact to the end of the useful life of our product and beyond. In order to provide on-site support, the company operates a large parts and service department who provide a range of post sales functions on a global scale including spare part sales, warranty, servicing and product training both directly and via our global Dealer Network.
