Interpower International - Diesel and Gas Powered Generating Sets and Rotary UPSInterpower International is an original equipment manufacturer of diesel and gas powered generating sets, and rotary UPS. With over 20 years' experience, we have a reputation for high specification equipment, designed and built to meet the customers exacting specifications. Interpower is an ISO:9000 company, approved supplier to the oil and gas industry, the first approved supplier to the Hong Kong Housing Authority, and an approved supplier to a number of militaries around the world. Interpower has supplied thousands of sets to hundreds of different applications, including:
Our standby sets provide backup power to some of the largest hospitals in numerous cities around the world. All of our sets are thoroughly tested, as in these applications reliability is a must. Interpower work closely with the project consultants, to find the best solution to the customers’ requirement. POWER GENERATING SETSInterpower pride themselves on the ability to meet some of the tightest specifications in the world, from generators providing backup power on the channel tunnel boring machines, to emissions cleaners for rental equipment in the centre of London. Interpower custom-designed and built control systems allow easy expansion and management of multiple set systems. From basic mains failure units, through to automatic synchronising and starting and stopping on load demand, to reduce the running costs of the sets when the load requirement is not at full capacity. Over the last decade, Interpower have manufactured several hundred sets that have gone into service in the telecom sector. Several countries' networks, including Yemen, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Ethiopia and China rely on Interpower equipment to keep them running smoothly. RENTAL AND REMOTE INSTALLATIONSFor remote installations, Interpower designed extended run systems, increasing the number of hours between servicing and maintenance. The control systems also allowed remote administration of the units, where an engineer is able to dial into the installation, interrogate the control unit, and see how many hours have been run, how long it is until the next service is due, and ensure the system is running fault free. On the design of our rental equipment Interpower works closely with our customers, who have rental fleets, to manufacture a range of standard products to meet the rigours of this market. The canopies and containers are designed to aid the customer with the maintenance of their plant, as well as to provide protection from the elements and sound attenuation. CONTAINERISED POWER UNITSOur containerised units offer a high power output for a small site footprint. With up to 2,000kVA of attenuated power being available from a 20ft standard ISO container. Multiple sets can quickly and easily be installed on site to create rapid solutions to a customer's power requirements. In a large number of industries downtime costs money, and if a process has to stop or is interrupted it can be several hours until production can be resumed. From factories to banks, a constant power supply is essential. Interpower have developed a more reliable, and cost effective, UPS system. Utilising proven flywheel technology we are able to design, and build, UPS systems which are easy to operate and maintain. Our simple flywheel system, does not need power electronics, or ventilated/air conditioned rooms for batteries. It can be maintained by an engineer with nothing more than basic generator knowledge. Simplifying the design of the UPS, we have increased the efficiency of the installation, reduced the running cost, and created a solution that can be easily integrated into existing systems.
