HEKO - Round link Chains, Scraper Bar Attachments, Chain Locks and Chain Wheels

Founded in 1917, HEKO specialises in manufacturing high wear resistant bucket elevator and conveyor chain systems, chain wheels, heat resistant kiln chains and accessories.

HEKO ROUND LINK CHAINS

HEKO's round link chains are manufactured from a wide range of materials including manganese steel, chrome-nickel steel and fine grain chrome-nickelmolybdenum alloy steel. Our own, modern, computer controlled heat treatment processes produce tempered or case hardened chains.

SCRAPER BAR ATTACHMENTS

HEKO offers a wide spectrum of cost effective and safe scraper bar attachments, suitable for single or multi-strand conveyors. Varieties of scraper bar attachments include:

Special scraper attachment type SP: HEKO special scraper attachments are suitable for use with single and twin-strand conveyors. They can be fitted to conveyors with wheels having projecting teeth, pocket teeth or toothless wheels.

Split scraper attachment type BG 22: These attachments can run over pocket-toothed wheels with single or twin-strand conveyors and with special scraper bar designs, also over wheels with projecting teeth.

Sliding block type GL: HEKO slide blocks prevent the chain from wearing in unwanted areas, resulting in increased service for the chain.

CHAIN LOCKS

Chain locks are used to connect lengths of chain together. They come in several different forms, suitable for a variety of tasks:

Chain lock type E: A HEKO chain lock for heavy-duty applications.

Chain lock type C: Suitable for use horizontally and vertically, and with wheels with pocket teeth and projecting teeth.

Chain lock type FL/RS: HEKO chain locks type FL are used for connecting longer chain strands. These chain locks have the same physical properties as the corresponding chain.

CHAIN WHEELS

HEKO produces chain wheels suitable for use in heavy-duty applications. Chain wheels with replaceable rims simplify and reduce the cost of refurbishment. Removal of the shaft and hub are unnecessary, thus reducing stoppage time. HEKO manufactures a large range of chain wheels including:

Chain wheels with projecting teeth, one-piece, steel, type VIE: Type VIE-A is a one-piece machined wheel for smaller chains. The welded wheel design, type VIE-B, is supplied for larger chains. HEKO chain wheel type VIE-C and type VIE-D are supplied for handling very sticky materials and has chamfered pockets to allow the material to drop out.

Chain wheels with projecting teeth, replaceable toothed rim, type GIA-3: Wheels with projecting teeth have many advantages, in particular the self-cleaning phenomena and minimisation of build-up between wheel and chain. The projecting teeth and chain supports are hardened to provide a long service life.

FORGED LINK CHAINS AND WHEELS

Apart from round link chains, HEKO also supplies forged link chains for single and two strand conveyors, as well as compatible chain wheels. Chain wheels are supplied as one-piece units or with replaceable rims.

HEKO COMPONENTS FOR WET DE-ASHERS

Wet de-ashers are employed for the transport of granular slag, ash from mineral coal or lignite, smelter ash or incinerator ash. Molten ash leaving the combustion zone drops into a water bath where it is cooled and then transported from the bath by scraper conveyor into down stream processes such as crushers or ash bunkers. HEKO specialises in selecting the suitable chain qualities and dimensions for such applications.
