Under a contract with Steelcon and Foster Wheeler, Scanclimber has supplied and installed a special SC400K chimney hoist at PAK Konin power plant. The installation of the hoist was on the outside of a steel chimney whose diameter at the top was only 3m.
Due to the difficult environmental conditions, the cage, landings and part of the mast together with the anchors for the Scanclimber hoist were all manufactured in stainless steel. The height of the chimney as well as the lifting height of the SC400K hoist is 100m with three landings; one at the bottom, one in the middle and one at the top.
