Sound Control

Sound Control - Industrial Noise Control

Sound Control is a privately owned company specializing in providing innovative engineered solutions to noise problems. Environmental noise regulation and noise legislation has necessitated stringent noise control measures to be implemented on industrial projects.

We understand the increasing customer demands for noise control products which must meet the highest standards, in form, fit and function. They must stand out from the competition. That is why we have combined engineering analysis, simulation and teamwork to address our customers' most challenging needs.

Working closely with engineering and acoustic consultants, architectural organisations, national and multi-national companies, has enabled Sound Control to develop and maintain a high standing within the acoustic engineering industry.

NOISE CONTROL PRODUCTS

Sound Control services many industries including power generation, minerals processing, mining, marine, architectural, and building and construction. Noise control equipment is supplied to OEM manufacturers of:

  • Engines
  • Blowers
  • Fans
  • Boilers
  • Gas turbines
  • Compressors
  • Pumps
  • Valves
  • Radiators
  • Coolers

Products supplied include:

  • Acoustic enclosures, louvers, doors and cladding
  • Resonator, steam and vent silencers
  • Mufflers
  • Attenuators
  • Complete exhaust systems

Complete packaging of equipment and installation is available for special projects.

POWER GENERATION – ENCLOSURES AND SILENCERS

Sound Control is committed to providing advice and engineering solutions to the power generation market. Sound Control can assist developers and engineers with project planning by sizing noise control equipment and preparing budget costs, as well as design and manufacture the final solution.

Power generation products include:

  • Induced draft fan and forced draft fan silencers for boilers
  • Safety relief valve vent silencers
  • Control valve silencers for steam and other fluids
  • Acoustic enclosures for boiler feed pumps, fans, blowers and other equipment
  • Black start generator enclosures
  • Prime power and standby generator acoustic packages
  • Resonator silencers for high wearing and dirty gas streams
  • Mufflers and exhaust systems
  • Acoustic cladding for buildings
  • Acoustic louvers
  • Silenced ventilation systems
  • Reverberation control of turbine halls

ACOUSTIC TREATMENTS – FREE AIRFLOW

Acoustic treatments, by their nature usually restrict airflow as well as access, but the designs provided by Sound Control allow the equipment to perform to its full potential. Ventilation attenuators, sound enclosures, exhaust silencers are commonly installed in conjunction with plant like power stations, gas turbines and petro-chemical installation.
