Solvina - Nuclear Power Engineering ConsultantsSolvina provides services and products to the nuclear power industry including: system engineering, reactor safety, verification and validation, human system interface, auxiliary power systems, nuclear power consulting, licensing and process control. Our specialty is our cross-disciplinary competence and experience on both PWR and BWR plants. By using Solvina consultants our clients access competence and experience in several technical disciplines such as energy, chemical and process systems, power systems, process control and dynamics, and safety systems. NUCLEAR PROCESS CONTROLSolvina provides:
POWER SYSTEM ANALYSISWe offer system analysis and design of the power system including the auxiliary power system and emergency power system. Analysis is performed in the following areas;
NUCLEAR LICENSING - REACTOR SAFETYSolvina provides support with licensing or safety demonstration support for plant modifications and upgrades, as well as development and updating of Safety Analysis Reports (SAR / FSAR) and technical specifications (STF). We also cover interpretation and application of standards and guidelines such as IEC (6)1226 for safety classification, IEC (6)1346 for structuring of functions and products, and ISO 9001 and 10007 for configuration management. NUCLEAR SYSTEM ENGINEERINGOur nuclear power plant system engineering services cover:
NUCLEAR POWER PLANT SIMULATIONSolvina provides stationary and dynamic simulators for process, power and control systems used for design, analysis and training purposes. We work with several different simulation tools depending on our clients' needs and requirement. We have developed Solvina-unique model libraries and tools based on commercial software. The very common tool Microsoft Excel is used for stationary energy and heat analysis of nuclear processes. The tool contains steam tables, unit operations for e.g. pumps, valves and heat-exchangers, and pressure-drop calculations. The tool is suited for:
Our dynamic simulators of nuclear power plants are based on a model library named SolvSim Steam Power. The software tool used is Modelica / Dymola. Other software that we use is Simpow and Neplan. Typical applications for dynamic nuclear simulators are:
