EBINGER Katalysatorservice is an experienced leader in the field of DeNOx catalyst regeneration. At our Wildeshausen regeneration plant, 20m³ - 40m³ of deactivated catalyst material can be transferred per day into good-as-new condition by using the highly developed process of ultrasonic and thermal treatment.

EBINGER Katalysatorservice, founded in 1998, serves operators of hard coal-fired, gas-fired and oil-fired power stations as well as incineration plants. Our clients, including all the leading German energy providers, as well as numerous European power stations, have been able to make considerable SCR operating savings with the help of our ultrasonic regeneration of their DeNOx catalysts.

Ultrasonic regeneration of DeNOx catalysts

Ultrasonic regeneration of DeNOx catalysts provides numerous benefits, including:

  • Thorough chemical deep-cleaning under mild conditions
  • Complete removal of all catalyst poisons
  • Ultrasonic cleaning of the fine microporous structure of the catalyst
  • No damage or change of the microstructure

From taking the test sample, up to the large-scale regeneration of your catalysts, our process step by step is as follows:

  1. Sample taking: let us know when a sample can be taken from the SCR reactor; we will gladly do this for you
  2. Analysis: why is the catalyst no longer active? By an analysis of the catalyst sample we get a general overview about the chemical condition of the catalyst
  3. Diagnosis: by evaluation of the chemical analysis we find out the cause of the inactivation and determine the necessary regenerations steps
  4. Test regeneration / measurement: regenerations are executed in the laboratory standard to determine the ideal regeneration procedure. Activity (k) and SO2/SO3 conversion rate will be measured after this in the benchmark scale
  5. Guarantee: the guarantee-values are based on the test regeneration result and are an integral part of the regeneration offer

In-situ cleaning of DeNOx catalysts

EBINGER has a wealth of experience in in-situ cleaning of DeNOx catalysts. The removal of ammonium salt from the surface of DeNOx catalysts in incineration plants is a typical application where DeNOx catalysts can be successfully cleaned in the DeNOx plant without any complex dismantling and reassembling.

Here, we have several years of experience in restoring activity up to 90% and 100%, whereby the inactivation characteristic exactly corresponds to that of the new catalyst. Besides the cost saving, this procedure has enormous logistical advantages as shorter shutdowns can also be used.

Used DeNOx catalysts

EBINGER has a large stock of used honeycombs and plate-type catalysts from various manufacturers at its disposal. This material can be adapted to the technical requirements of a customer's catalyst thanks to our highly efficient ultrasonic regeneration process. The savings made by working with used catalysts compared to buying new material is between 35% and 50%.

Call us to find out whether we have suitable material in stock or whether we can procure it for you. We can give you expert advice if you are planning to convert from honeycombs to plate-type catalysts or vice versa and will gladly make test material available to you.

Catalyst dismantling / re-installing

In addition, we offer catalyst dismantling and re-installing services. In the case of regenerations which take place during shutdown, a complete service for our customers can be very profitable as all deadlines must be exactly scheduled to fit with one another.

Catalyst transportation services

In Europe we can provide transportation of the catalysts from the client to our plant and back after regeneration. We cooperate with a partner that has extensive experience in handling sensitive goods. Transportation is always undertaken by using air-suspended vehicles and skilled personnel. We also have experience with overseas transportation.

Catalyst storage

We have a storage capacity of about 1,400m² available. In part, this is used as temporary storage for current orders. Moreover, we can offer our customers storage space, for example, as reserve storage, at a reasonable rate. This means potential high storage costs can be saved.
