WOOD GROUP APPOINTS FRANK AVERY AS PRESIDENT OF WOOD GROUP POWER OPERATIONS, INC.

Wood Group Gas Turbine Services has promoted Frank Avery to the position of President of its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business, Wood Group Power Operations, Inc. (WGPO), effective from 1st July 2004.

Mr Avery, previously Executive Vice President of WGPO, joined Wood Group in 2003 from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Power Industry Consultants (PIC) in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had responsibility for the execution and daily operation of PIC including its O&M group. Mark Dobler, Vice President of Wood Group Gas Turbine Services, said: “The fantastic success WGPO has enjoyed during the early stages of its development has been due in large part to Frank’s contributions on both the business development and contract execution fronts. The power market is clearly seeking flexible and efficient O&M outsource solutions backed by financially strong service providers like Wood Group. Frank’s skills and experience will serve WGPO well, as already demonstrated by the company’s successful closing on four new care, custody and control O&M contracts since the start of the year.”
