Turbine Efficiency (TEL) is an established service provider to Ruston, Alstom, EGT, Siemens RM (Typhoon and SGT-100) and RT (Tornado and SGT-200) gas turbines worldwide.
Our capabilities cover the entire lifecycle of a gas turbine and focus on every aspect of equipment supply and service, with the emphasis on reliability, economy and efficiency. Our prime objective remains to maximise up-time, improve performance and save costs for our customers.
We have full workshop capabilities including service, overhaul and the repair of all equipment and critical components. Our highly skilled team of field service engineers are experienced in on-site and offshore projects on RM (Typhoon and SGT-100) and RT (Tornado and SGT-200) turbines across industrial / municipal CHP and oil and gas applications.
The objectives of each of our customers differ from industry to industry. We work closely with our clients to develop a mutually advantageous approach to service that is tailored to suit the operational and commercial objectives of each individual customer.
TEL can manage part or all of your project, providing service and support at appropriate costs according to the services provided. Our standard and 'unique to TEL' repairs can extend the life of many components at a fraction of the cost of replacement with new. In addition the turnaround time for the engine overhaul is cut, thus reducing downtime.
TEL holds stocks of both new and used components in our workshop for the RM (Typhoon and SGT-100) and RT (Tornado and SGT-200), ranging from consumable components to large capital spares that have been refurbished and certified by TEL for use in the engine overhaul process.
TEL can support Rustronic control systems for both maintenance and fault-finding in turbines, using our team of qualified controls engineers. We have a comprehensive stock of controls spares and can repair faulty control boards or manufacture alternatives.
TEL has a range of upgrade options for standard Rustronic controls systems, enabling remote monitoring and the retention of historical data.
TEL offers emissions consultation and reduction programmes to help customers maximise the efficiency of their turbine within the confines of government and industry legislation.
The TEL water injection system (TELoNOx®) can reduce the NOx emissions of non-DLE gas turbines by up to 50%.
TEL has developed a system whereby redundant RM (Typhoon and SGT-100) and RT (Tornado and SGT-200) gas turbine equipment is relocated, recovering value in the depreciated capital equipment for the current owner and providing the purchaser with a refurbished turbine at 80% or less of new LIT prices with lead-time reduced to less than half of that of new equipment.
This system allows TEL to arrange guaranteed availability to a fit-for-purpose spare gas turbine core for those customers where up-time must be maximised. The equipment can also be used in new installations, significantly reducing the overall cost of the project.
TEL can offer structured operator training courses, developed to provide both basic and advanced working knowledge of the RM (Typhoon and SGT-100) or RT (Tornado and SGT-200) industrial turbines.
TEL has developed a supply chain of strategic alliances that ensures that all services, repairs and procurement can be controlled using a single point of reference for all projects.
Our primary goals are to drive the total cost of ownership down to the best level for our customers, achieving the highest level of quality and the lowest level of disruption. Our ISO 9001:2008-certified quality and operational systems and our FPAL certification for the supply of offshore services ensure that our systems and our practices are on a solid foundation.
