Turbo Hook - Hooks for Wind Turbine Assembly and Maintenance, and Pivotal Crane Systems

Turbo Hook Limited (Hong Kong) and Turbo Hook Pty Ltd (Australia) have been set up by Greg McKay, owner of Global Track Australia, to market a unique hook designed to assist in the assembly and maintenance of wind turbines. A new, unique and easy-to-assemble electrical cable trolley has also been designed.

Hooks for wind turbine assembly and maintenance

In addition to its use in the assembly and maintenance of wind turbines, the hook is also used for attaching components to hoisting chains in the film and staging industry, the construction and bridge building industry, and on oil rig platforms.

Cable trolley wheels for round / flat cable

Another new product that has been developed is a new cable trolley wheel which is easy to assemble, especially when up a ladder as there are no nuts, bolts or spacers to drop. This unit easily attaches to the catenary cable with the turn of a wing nut, and the flat or round electrical cable is easily attached and locked to the cable trolley with the turn of a wing nut. Advantages include:

Pivotal crane systems

Manufactured for both external and internal tracks, Global Track pivotal crane systems are simple to install and maintain, compact, and feature a fail-safe ball pivot system using optional secondary restraints.

Full package solutions can be provided for all lifting requirements. Roof-mounted or free-standing manual crane bridges can be supplied up to 15m long with safe working loads of 150kg to 2,000kg.

Roof-mounted crane bridges

Long-travel rails can be directly mounted to the roof supports (subject to engineering approval), eliminating any need for support rods or side rail pivots. This allows for reduced head height mounting.

Multiple crane bridges can be used on a set of long-travel I beams allowing the crane bridges to be used independently or together. Productivity will increase by using several crane bridges on the one set of long-travel rails. Cost-effective solutions are available with high-capacity safe working loads using long crane bridges.
