US AIR FORCE AWARDS $10.8 MILLION FUEL NOZZLE REPAIR CONTRACT
TO WOOD GROUP FUEL SYSTEMS, INC.
Wood Group Fuel Systems, Inc. (WGFS), part of the Gas Turbine Services division of John Wood Group PLC (“Wood Group”), has been awarded a $10.8million, five-year fuel nozzle repair contract from the US Air Force.
The contract follows on from a previous five-year contract held by Connecticut-based WGFS, and covers the repair and overhaul of fuel nozzles from F100 aero engines, operated on US Air Force F15 and F16 fighter aircraft.
Bob Simons, General Manager at WGFS, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and look forward to continuing to support the US Air Force repair programme from our dedicated facility in Connecticut.”
