Wood Group Power Solutions, Inc. (WGPS), part of the Gas Turbine Services Division of John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has won a multi-million dollar turnkey contract to expand the power plant operated by Drummond Ltd at the Pribbenow Coal Mine in northern Colombia.

Under the contract, WGPS, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, will design, procure, install and commission two General Electric LM6000 gas turbine generators. This contract follows the supply and installation by WGPS in 2004 of Drummond's existing power plant at Pribbenow, which supports the company’s coal mining activities.

"We are delighted that Drummond has selected us to carry out this second phase of their power project at Pribbenow," said David Whisenhunt, President of Wood Group Power Solutions. "Drummond has displayed a great degree of confidence in our ability to supply and install highly reliable equipment on schedule. This power plant will be the prime power source for the Pribbenow mine, and will be critical to its coal production."

WGPS expects the project to achieve commercial operation by June 2005.
