Yokogawa Corporation of America and Wood Group Turbine Control Services, part of the Gas Turbine Services Division of international energy services company, John Wood Group PLC (Wood Group), today announced a cooperative agreement for turbine and rotating equipment controls solutions.

Under the agreement, Yokogawa will utilize TCS to provide turbine controls and associated services. Wood Group will use Yokogawa Controls and Instrumentation where appropriate to supplement their current service offering.

John Bowron, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Yokogawa Corporation of America, said: "This agreement greatly increases both companies' ability to meet their customer's needs in the power generation, hydrocarbon processing and industrial energy markets where control retrofits include instrumentation, control and safety of rotating machinery. Yokogawa's extension of expertise into turbine control and rotating equipment has long been requested by many of our customers. This relationship with Wood Group makes that a reality."

Steve Huval, President of TCS, said: "We are very excited to formalize the relationship that we have enjoyed with Yokogawa. Their newly introduced, state-of-the-art Yokogawa hardware, combined with TCS' substantial turbine control experience, brings a new level of value to our customers."
