ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF PIPE SUPPORT PRODUCTS

The Binder Group engineering and design team combines experience and technology in the design and development of pipe support products.

Design software employed includes Autocad, Solidworks 3D, and Cosmos / Strand 7 finite element analysis.

Supports and equipment are designed in accordance with international design standards including:

• American standard MSS-SP-58 and MSS-SP-69
• British standard BS3974 parts I, II and III
• ASME B31.1 power generation
• ASME B31.3 chemical and refining

FABRICATION AND WELDING

Fabrication and welding is just one of the Binder Group's competencies. Materials regularly used in manufacture include carbon steel, boiler plate, stainless-steel and chrome moly.

Welding technologies employed include:

• Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
• Tungsten arc welding (GTAW)
• Flux cored arc welding (FCAW)

PIPE PRODUCT GENERAL PRODUCTION

Manufacturing technologies include forming, punching, drilling, boring, threading, turning, profiling and plate rolling. The Binder Group’s capabilities include:

• Forming - to 20mm thickness
• Profiling - to 90mm thickness
• Rolling - to 13mm thickness
• Thread cutting - 5mm to 80mm diameters

ASSEMBLY OF SPRING SUPPORTS AND PIPE SHOES

Purpose-built assembly and test rigs are used for the quick assembly of constant effort and variable spring supports. A generous area is also dedicated to the assembly and tagging of pipe shoes, clamp hanger assemblies, structural steelwork, etc.

WAREHOUSING AND INVENTORY

Fast-moving product lines such as our Kwik Smart range are stocked in warehouses in Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane for immediate dispatch. Inventory is controlled via an integrated computer system which links all warehouses and provides up to date information of stocked product lines.
