DSD Industrieanlagen Renamed to MAN Ferrostaaal Power Industry

MAN Ferrostaal Power Industry GmbH (MFS-PI) is the new name of the company formerly known as DSD Industrieanlagen GmbH, Essen. MFS-PI specialises in turnkey construction and extensions of conventional power plants.
The power plant business is being expanded so that it will in future significantly contribute to the growth and profitability of the MAN Ferrostaal group, alongside with the group's other plant construction activities. The new name also reflects the company's position as member of the MAN Ferrostaal group.
MAN Ferrostaal Power Industry focuses its activities in the area of gas and steam turbine power plants. In this area, MFPI will increasingly act as project developer and general contractor. With support from its parent companies MAN AG and MAN Ferrostaal AG, MFS-PI will take on selected and profitable projects, in which the company can set itself apart from others, either through highly advanced financing concepts also in conjunction with other large-scale MAN Ferrostaal plants or, in special cases, also by taking a stake in the equity capital.
MAN Ferrostaal Power Industry will in future expand its activities to new technologies in the field of renewable energy sources - in particular solar thermal power - which can also be combined with conventional power plants.
