Allen Gears wins key BVI order

A major opportunity for future new business has opened-up for leading UK gearbox specialist Allen Gears with a key order from Hamburg-based power generation specialist BV Industrietechnik GmbH.
The order is for a 16.5 MW generator-mounted epicyclic unit for a steam turbine-driven generator required for a community power plant at Torsvik in Sweden.
“This is the first time that BVI have selected Allen Gears for their packages and confirms Allen Gears’ position as a key player in the Power Generation market. This order really does represent an excellent window of opportunity for future business.” reports Christopher Dennis, Sales Engineer for Allen Gears.
Delivery of the gearbox is set for June next year.
