Allen Gears wins vital follow on business from turbomach
03 September 2004 12:13
Allen Gears, the UK’s leading specialist in high-power, bespoke gearboxes for a wide range of industries, has won a significant order to equip major power projects in Germany and Latvia.
The order comes from Swiss-based power specialist Turbomach and represents important repeat business for an existing gearbox design.
Three large 37MW epicyclic gearboxes are required by Turbomach, driven by RB211 gas turbines. Formal signing of the contract is set for 15:30pm on Wednesday 26th May 2004 at the Allen Gears stand at this year’s PowerGen-Europe in Barcelona.
“Repeat orders like this clearly confirm our products acceptance in the marketplace in the eyes of existing and potential customers,” explains Christopher Dennis, Allen Gears Sales Engineer.
“The Turbomach order also highlights Allen Gears’ ability to deliver newly-ordered equipment within particularly demanding timescales,” adds Mr Dennis.
“This is an example where we’ve taken in a major order on a very tight leadtime, showing our commitment to satisfying our customer, and their clients specific requirements.”
