Hydraulic torque wrenches, tensioners and bolt heating

The power generation after-market offers unique challenges for bolting. With so many applications requiring torque, Hydratight are well positioned to offer solutions through our lines of hydraulic torque wrenches: RSL, S and LP. These lines of torque wrenches offer a complete range of output for bolting on: boilers, pumps, valves, turbines and heat exchangers.

However, we have also manufactured tensioner solutions in conjunction with many OEMs when a higher level of accuracy and faster bolting is necessary.

For those applications which require bolt heating, Hydratight offer induction heating services as well as controlled bolting. Additional products and services for this sector include ultrasonic load measurement and boiler weighing.

Customised machining and bolting tools

Some problems demand unique solutions. Hydratight's engineers have developed bespoke tools to solve some of the most demanding field, machining and bolting applications in the world.

Pipework and production and process plant services

We pride ourselves in offering high quality site-based service to complement Hydratight's extensive product range, including in-situ machining such as pipe cutting, beveling, milling, boring, grinding and end prepping, plus in-place heat treating, valve testing and leak sealing. We also support clients who have rented or purchased products.

Bolting training courses

When a joint won't seal or when a flanged bolted connection leaks, the blame is usually placed on the gasket and extra torque / load applied without considering the consequences to the components involved.

However, other factors may have caused the failure. A Hydratight study indicates that damaged components, misaligned equipment and improper joint assembly as a whole, caused more seal failures than gaskets.

Fundamental to joint integrity is the competence of the personnel involved in the process of inspection / assembly and tightening of flanged bolted connections. Hydratight offers training courses for both topside and subsea applications, as well as an electronic learning package.
