South Coast Industrial Metals is a full-service distributor and manufacturer representative company providing metal products and air process equipment for many applications, including the power generation industry. Our industrial products for power plant use include corrosion-resistant alloys, high temperature fabric expansion joints, air-ventilation products, compressed air dryers and shims.

CORROSION-RESISTANT METAL ALLOYS

Our metal-alloy products were originally designed to address the most commonly found issues where corrosion is prevalent. Inconel®, Incoloy®, Monel®, stainless, Alloy 20, C-276 and Duplex 2205 metal alloys are available in scheduled pipe, fittings and flange sizes from 0.5in to 12in. We also provide custom fabrication, should the precise part you require not be available.

Our corrosion-resistant alloys can also be provided in plate, sheet and bar products.

BLOWER AND EXHAUSTER PORTABLE VENTILATION SYSTEMS

We stock Prime-Air hydraulic, steam, water, electric or air-driven blowers and exhausters ranging from 1,500ft³/min to 10,500ft³/min in capacity.

Built to handle large volumes of air, our products are used for gas freeing, ventilation, drying and removal of airborne contaminants. We also provide 20in and 24in inch typhoon marine blowers.

Easy to transport, Hurricane Venturi horn-style air blowers use only compressed air or steam, thus providing high volumes of air without using moving parts. Pneumatic blowers and exhausters offer high-output air flow designed to fit the standard API tank opening.

Prime-Air ventilation fans are the optimum and best-value portable ventilation products for any environment where high volumes of airflow are required.

REGENERATIVE COMPRESSED-AIR DRYERS AND PURIFICATION EQUIPMENT

Van Air was the pioneer of compressed-air dryers and purification equipment using desiccant technology. Regenerative desiccant dryers supply the best possible protection for pneumatic instrumentation or sensitive process air.

Twin towers containing special desiccants adsorb moisture. While one tower is in a drying cycle, wet desiccant in the other tower is regenerated. Standard pressure dew point is -40°F. Dryers are available from 10 to 5,000 SCFM. We offer a full range of Van Air desiccants from activated alumina to molecular sieves and silica gel for all regenerative dryers.

EXPANSION JOINTS

KE-Burgmann manufacturers and supplies a full range of expansion joints made from fabric, metal, rubber, fluoroelastemer and fluoropolymer for installation in air and flue gas duct systems.

The KE Burgmann Combine X is the ideal expansion joints for use in gas turbine and combined cycle plants with high operating temperatures, very high gas velocities and pulsating gas flows.

The Combine X is a multi-layer expansion joint and its design is matched exactly to the operating and structural requirements of the individual application. Across the globe, we offer installation, inspection and repair services for all of our expansion joint products.

MAUDLIN PRODUCTS SLOTTED AND CUSTOM SHIMS

Manufactured from tight-tolerance, aerospace-quality 304 or 316 stainless steel, Maudlin shims are found wherever pumps, motors and rotating equipment need precision leveling.

Our experience in emergency services allows us to custom manufacture metallic shims for non-standard applications in a matter of hours.

Our shims can be used for many applications, including in turbines, motors, pumps and gearboxes. South Coast Industrial Metals currently stocks standard slotted shim kits in all sizes, and offers water-jet and wire EDM cutting for custom manufactured shims.
