Wenutec equipment for stud tensioning, handling and transportation offers optimized maintenance programs for critical path time reduction and dose rate minimization as well as for reduction of operation and maintenance costs.

We are able to reduce the time for opening (stud removal and transportation) and closing (transportation and reinstallation) of a reactor vessel up to less than four hours for each operation.

Wenutec provides proven solutions in the field of NPPs with pressure or boiling water reactors for western and Russian design.

TENSIONERS FOR REACTOR VESSELS (RV)

Different types of stud tensioning equipment are available:

• Multiple Stud Tensioner (MST) for Reactor Vessels (RV)
• Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR)

• Single Stud Tensioners (SST) and Double Stud Tensioners (DST)

The most important product in our range is the Multiple Stud Tensioner (MST) which is used to open or to close reactor vessels. This machine tensions or de-tensions all reactor studs simultaneously in a single operation. For nuclear power plants which are not suitable for the use of MST due to space or other constraints, we can offer a wide range of Single and Double Stud Tensioners (SST or DST).

Recently developed quick connecting single and double stud tensioners are of light-weight design, making them easier and quicker to handle than traditional single stud tensioners.

STUD TURNING, HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION DEVICES

Stud turning devices for weight compensated threading and unthreading as well as transportation of RV studs within the reactor building can also be offered by Wenutec designed for customer's request.

The six-pack diminishes considerably the outage time by using an automatic threading and unthreading operation of 6RV studs at a time during annual outage performance in NPP Vogtle and Farley (USA).

MULTIPLE STUD TENSIONERS FOR PRIMARY COMPONENTS: STEAM GENERATORS, PRESSURIZERS, MAIN COOLING PUMPS

Wenutec also offers a range of multiple stud tensioners for primary components such as steam generators, pressurizers, and main cooling pumps. Tensioning systems made of steel or aluminium in ring / segmental design for different flange dimensions are, in addition to a progressive measuring technique, highly efficient.
