Headquartered in Zhuzhou city in Hunan province, China, Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric, a subsidiary of Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Insitutute, CSR (ZELRI), specialises in the electric drive technology of locomotives and converter technology for industrial and railways sectors.

In addition, the company manufactures electrical control and network systems, power electronics devices, sensors, railroad maintenance machinery, motors, rubber and plastics products and insulating materials for electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, metro rail, light rail, passenger cars, etc.

TEC supplies various types of equipment required for locomotives to the Chinese railways and exports to South East Asia, Europe and the US. Established in 2005 and supported by its research arm ZERLI, TEC has been leading the technology drive in locomotive electric equipment segment.

TRANSDUCERS AND ELECTRONIC SENSORS

We have developed various series sensors for measurement and control of current, voltage and speed in control system for locomotives, large railroad maintenance vehicles, passenger / metro cars, metallurgy, chemical industry and industrial automation and control, etc.

CURRENT SENSORS

A series of three products for measuring AC, DC and impulse current:

• NCA1C series measures current ranging from 50A to 600A and features Hall effect measuring principle
• NT series measures current ranging from 30A to 2,000A and has three different mounting options
• NA series measures current ranging from 25A to 3,000A and features high anti-magnetic capability

VOLTAGE SENSORS

A series of three products for measuring AC, DC and impulse voltage:

• NCV1 measures voltage ranging from 200V to 3,000V and features fast response
• NV100 measures voltage ranging from 50V to 4,000V and features hall cell design
• NV200 measures voltage ranging from 200V to 6,400V and features dual hall cell design and high anti-magnetic capability

SPEED SENSORS FOR CONTROL SYSTEM OF LOCOMOTIVES

• TQG2B uses electro-magnetic design for speed measurement in turbine chargers
• TQG19 uses hall-sensing design for speed measurement in traction motors
• TQG15B uses photoelectric design for speed measurement in wheel set brakes

POWER SEMICONDUCTORS AND ACCESSORIES

We have got expertise to design and manufacture various power semiconductors. Our product range and features includes:

• General rectifier – current and voltage range from 300A to 10,000A and 600V to 8,500V respectively
• Phase control thyristor – current and voltage range from 300A to 6,800A and 600V to 8,500V respectively
• Fast switching thyristor – current and voltage range from 300A to 3,800A and 800V to 4,500V respectively
• Freewheeling diode – current and voltage range from 500A to 1,500A and 2,500V to 6,000V respectively
• Snubber diode – current and voltage range from 300A to 900A and 2,500V to 6,000V respectively

We have also developed air-cooled flat heat sinks, universal water-cooled heat sinks, universal air-cooled flat heat sinks and hot pipe heat sinks.

POWER RESISTORS

We offer RX20 Series Vitreous Enamel Coating Power Resistor ranging from 12W to 1,000W. Equipped with lug and terminals, RX20 series resistor is suitable for soldering or sturdy bolt connection. These resistors can adapt to the most severe regimes and have some features such as all welded construction and durable lead free vitreous enamel coating. The performance and reliability of our resistors find an appropriate use in automation, electrical control systems and locomotives.

EDGE WOUND RESISTORS

Our very high power resistors are generally used for dynamic braking on transportation applications.
