Energy Systems Maintenance (ESM) is an independent provider of medium and high voltage electrical testing, maintenance, and repair services. With over 15 years of experience in utility, large industrial and institutional power distribution applications, ESM has a vast array of experiences that can be brought to bear on any operational or emergency need.

All testing is performed in accordance with NETA acceptance and maintenance standards. A customized program can be developed and implemented to meet the individual maintenance and operational needs of the customer.

Outage restoration assistance

ESM’s test technicians are trained and experienced to respond to any customer need. Our 24hr response capability provides customers with outage restoration assistance in emergency and contingency situations, reducing downtime and lost production.

Sweep frequency response analysis

The company has recently acquired sweep frequency response analysis capability for detecting potential mechanical and electrical problems with large power transformers.

Utilising this technology, customers can collect fingerprint data upon transformer commissioning or any time prior to an event to compare with post-event response. The data can be utilised to detect core, coil, and connection lead problems that might otherwise go undetected with conventional testing methodologies.

Cables, relays and circuit breakers

ESM has experience in high and medium-voltage cable splicing and terminating utilizing hot and cold shrink applications. We have extensive experience in commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of solid-state protective relays and metering.

ESM offers its customers a broad array of services for low and medium-voltage circuit breakers, including complete refurbishment/ rebuilding services as well as retrofitting of low-voltage breakers with current solid-state trip technologies. Warranties are provided with all rebuilds and retrofits. An extensive inventory of parts and loaner breakers are available.

Service availability

ESM's services are available throughout the Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Michigan areas. Services can be contracted in a multi-year package or on an as-needed basis. All our services are available 24 hours a day on an emergency basis.
