Araldite® casting systems from Huntsman Advanced Materials are designed to give you a high degree of flexibility. HYDROPHOBIC ARALDITE® SYSTEMS

Combining hydrophobic properties with the traditional strengths of epoxy materials, hydrophobic Araldite® systems reduce discharge activity, leading to less erosion and improved life expectancy.

The advanced hydrophobic properties of the system include intrinsic hydrophobicity, and hydrophobicity transfer and recovery. The system ensures better product reliability in the most demanding environments, such as tropical climates, shore or mining areas. Reduced leakage currents and lower flash-over probability results in enhanced product reliability.

The excellent product performance of our hydrophobic Araldite® systems has aided the development of numerous laboratory studies, including salt fog studies (IEC 61109), wheel tests (IEC 61302), EDF approval test (EN26E20) and customer field test: reclosers pass -80°C without any crack.

Hydrophobic Araldite® systems are used for outdoor insulators, bushings, switchgear parts and instrument transformers.

NON-POST CURE ARALDITE® SYSTEMS

Huntsman non-post cure Araldite® systems ensure that products are completely cured after removal from the mould. This enables our customers to bypass the time-consuming and expensive curing step after demoulding.

With a high savings potential combined with advanced product properties and optimised processing parameters, our non-post cure Araldite® systems are the preferred choice for many applications using the pressure gelation process.

Non-post cure Araldite® systems are ideal for use in conjunction with equipment parts for medium and high voltages, insulators, bushings, switches and transformers.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Our technical support is one of our key strengths and has highest priority for us. We provide technical support in-house and on-site at customers as well as customer trainings. Special services, such as computer aided engineering for the simulation of reactive molding processes and a software for structural design analyses, round off the wide technical support portfolio we have in place for our customers.
