New Loviset® PX Range Of Low-Voltage Cable Joints Under Development

01 October 2005 16:46

The product development department of Lovink Enertech is busy optimising a new range of shell joints for low-voltage cables: the LoviSet® PX series. Expanding the product mix with this series will result in a total range of cable accessories with wide applicability and a universal method of installation.
Since the takeover of RXS operations in July 2002, the Lovink Enertech product range includes a diversity of cable joints for various applications. In addition to the V/S 26 series, the PAK and PA series are also available in a limited number of models. The new PX series will completely replace the three aforementioned series.

The PV series for standard connections will of course be continued and in addition there will be the new PX series, which will eventually be available in 5 models: - sizes 10, 20 and 30: universal accessories for use as straight through joint, branch joint and stop end for mains cables of between 10 mm2 and 80 mm2.
- sizes 40 and 50: accessories designed especially for domestic connections, suitable for use with ring clamps on 150 mm2 or 185 mm2 mains cables.

Interesting feature of the sizes 40 and 50 is that their construction means they are not only available with a hinged closure but also as separate shell components. Depending on the preference of the customer, one of the two varieties will be supplied. It is also possible for the jointer in the trench to determine the preferred sealing method, in which case the joints will be supplied with a film hinge, which simply has to be cut if two separate shell components are required.

All sizes are currently being modified to comply with the latest market requirements. The first production series is expected to be finished by the end of this year.
