Break Through into the USA market

Nokian Capacitors Ltd. is delivering a compensation equipment project to Niagra Mohawk company in New York, USA. This project is worth about 10 million euros and is in partnership with Power Engineers, our local partner. Nokian Capacitors' compensation equipment increases transmission line reliability and improves transmission capacity and efficiency. Nokian Capacitors delivers core-technology for the system, including reactors from the new factory, which consists of about half of the entire project.
Nokian Capacitors was chosen a second time within a short period to be a supplier for a project, which is proof of the markets strong trust in the company. The efforts to get into the USA market were started in 2002 and now we are seeing successful results. Nokian Capacitors' electric power technology, with the company's own modern control systems and strong local partner, Nokian Capacitors gained a victory from the large multinational corporations.
