Phoenix Contact - Electric Connection Technology, Electronic Interface and Industrial Automation Technology

Phoenix Contact is a worldwide leading manufacturer of electric connection technology, electronical interface and industrial automation technology. For more than 80 years' utility companies and other partners in the energy industry trust the products from Phoenix Contact.

Today, in all kinds of energy applications, from power generation to transport and distribution grids, right down to the doorstep of the end user, products and solutions from Phoenix Contact help our customers to guarantee around the clock power generation and energy supply.

CIPLINE COMPLETE: TERMINAL BLOCKS

By using the unique modular terminal block system Clipline Complete, the user has a free choice of connection method. Regardless of whether you opt for the screw, spring-cage, push-in, fast or bolt connection, with similar accessories due to the double bridge shaft, all connection methods can be freely combined with each other. Bridging, marking and testing accessories are standardized and thus reduce storage costs.

The Clipline Complete modular terminal block system has been tested and approved for a number of international ratings and industrial specific requirements like ageing, shock protection, fire load or environmental condition. All metal parts are made of high-grade copper alloys. The insulating housing has the inflammability classification V0.

MARKING SYSTEM

The Marking system from Phoenix Contact is optimally coordinated software and hardware for quick and easy labelling of your applications. With one mouse click, simply import all relevant project data from your engineering system into the Clip project planning software.

Clip project selects the suitable product as well as the marking material, automatically generates parts lists and schematic diagrams, and if desired, orders the necessary products in the Phoenix Contact e-shop. Your printing system is automatically controlled with the connection and device designations from your engineering system.

INTERFACE SIGNAL CONVERTERS

The interface product range offers nearly everything for signal conditioning and for the control system. Here you can find relays, optocouplers, power supply units, PLC system cabling, signal converters for all common bus systems, fibre-optic cables and analogue signals, signal converters for the Ex area, monitoring modules, etc.

Compact power supply units of the Quint power generation with SFB technology maximize the availability of your system. Standard power circuit-breakers can be triggered reliably and quickly for the first time with the SFB technology (selective fuse breaking technology), six times the nominal current for 12ms.

QUINT POWER WITH SFB TECHNOLOGY

A practical example would be a short-circuit outside the control cabinet:

  • Each current path is secured by a power circuit-breaker
  • A short-circuit appears on the display
  • (Installation details: copper line 2mm², 25m long, power circuit-breaker 6A characteristic B) Use the planning matrix to quickly and easily plan systems
  • Quint Power with SFB technology 24V / 10A delivers 60A for a short period.
  • The fuse triggers within a few milliseconds
  • The controller and I/Os are continuously supplied with 24VDC - the system is running

TRABTECH: SURGE VOLTAGE PROTECTION

TRABTECH is the TRansient ABsorbtion TECHnology from Phoenix Contact and stands for comprehensive surge protection par excellence. An effective surge protection measure must consider the principle of the "protection circuit". This means that all conductors leading to a device which needs protection must also be protected. This applies to the areas of power supplies, MCR technology, information technology and transceiver systems.

PLUGTRAB PT/FM - MCR PROTECTIVE CIRCUIT WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS

Plugtrab PT/FM is effective surge protection for MCR technology which can also monitor itself and report the status. This is ensured via the built-in diagnostic unit which monitors the protective circuit electrically thus providing the highest safety.

Minimal space requirement, solution-oriented circuit technology, as well as impedance neutral plug-in and unplugging are the advantages that Plugtrab offers in a design width of just 17.5mm. Plugtrab PT/FM is intelligent protection for signal interfaces.
