ENGINE INSULATION BLANKETS

Amongst the engines we have in the library to name a few are: Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, EMD, Deutz, Mitsubishi, Kubota, Iveco, MTU, Waukesha, Generac, Lister Petter and Ruston. Depending on your needs, our blankets are designed to fit around manifolds, turbochargers, elbows, pipe sections, flexes and fittings.

SILENCER AND EXHAUST PIPING INSULATION BLANKETS

Firwin makes insulation blankets for silencers and piping of all sizes. Depending on safety requirements these insulation blankets can be up to 4in thick.

All of our blankets can be manufactured to allow for hangers, brackets or supports, and side or end inlet/outlet piping.

Firwin insulation blankets contain up to 80% of heat loss. And they maintain the temperature until the engine is switched off.

PURIFIER AND SCR INSULATION BLANKETS

The increased legal requirement of exhaust pollution containment has made the quickest possible effective burn-off very important when using catalytic purifiers, scrubbers and SCRs. Effective heat containment speeds up the time for the catalyst to reach the minimum effective temperature for effective pollutant burn off.

Firwin insulation blankets on purifiers and catalytic converters contain heat flow from the housing and adjacent exhaust piping which:

• Brings the catalyst up to its effective operating temperature much faster
• Ensures that the catalyst is kept at the highest operating temperature possible given the exhaust flow temperatures of the exhaust system
