Corys T.E.S.S. specialises in the design and production of power plant simulators and offers complementary training and engineering services.

Corys T.E.S.S. is located in the heart of the French scientific and technological polygon in Grenoble. As an offshoot of the CEA (French atomic energy commission) in 1989, Corys T.E.S.S is currently owned by two large energy groups, Suez and Areva.

Over 150 Corys T.E.S.S. power plant simulators are operational in 20 different countries.

ALICES®, MODELLING AND SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT FOR REAL-TIME SIMULATION OF POWER PLANTS

ALICES® is the reference simulation environment throughout the whole operating life of a complex industrial installation. It is at the heart of our strategic development in the power simulation sector for engineering analysis and training applications.

ALICES® is a fully integrated modelling and simulation environment for real time simulation of power plants and complex systems. The unique strengths include:

  • The use of ALICES® does not require any specific computer skills to operate
  • No complex assembly operations or code compilation are required to generate the computer configuration, saving several hours when compared to the previous generation of workshops, not only guaranteeing the productivity of the development teams during the project performance phase, but it is also crucial for the maintenance project phase
  • The configuration flexibility, totally independent of the multi-OS operating system (synchronous and asynchronous), ensures complete simulator durability through time
  • Totally open to third-party codes and data, ALICES® facilitates the renovation or reuse of simulators previously designed on a different workshop
  • ALICES® has an object-oriented design and is developed in C++ to guarantee the system’s coherence, modularity and scalability. This software design makes it very easy to adapt and enables development in successive stages, coherent with the availability of design and operating data

For over 25 years the heart of our business has been producing simulators of complex processes: nuclear power plants, conventional power plants (thermal - gas and coal, hydraulic) public or industrial site electric power grids. From basic principles through to nuclear full-scope simulators, including simulator configurations for engineering purposes, Corys T.E.S.S. supports operators with the complete range of tools.

As well as developing simulators, we maintain over 200 simulators in operational condition in 15 different countries and are regularly called on to renovate simulators dating back over 15 years.
