30 October 2007 15:13

Since January 1995, ALSTOM Belfort has been using an alternator controlling simulator called SAGA for its training needs. The simulator was delivered by CORYS T.E.S.S.. The modelling covers the alternator and its auxiliaries in the configurations of normal or incidental running.

Three types of alternators are simulated:

Faced with risks of obsolescence and breakdowns linked with the age of the equipment and the technique used, ALSTOM Belfort entrusted CORYS T.E.S.S. with the rehosting of this simulator under a Windows PC environment. Similarly to what has been done for other projects, the SAGA simulator will be taken to the ALICES workshop with encapsulation of models and revision of the whole IHM in this new workshop.

Delivery to the Belfort site is planned for January 2008.
