General Physics Corporation Awarded Over $3.4m in New Energy Work

Elkridge, MD, US — GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX) has announced that its subsidiary, global performance improvement solutions provider General Physics Corporation (GP), was awarded over $3.4m in new contracts at the close of 2009.

These contracts, for its energy services workforce development business unit, covered the provision of customized training services and content development for industry-leading power companies throughout the US, including We Energies and Kansas City Power and Light. They require custom-tailored solutions to be developed that align with each relevant company's culture, equipment, processes and objectives to meet specific workforce-development needs.

Mr Joe Nasal, senior vice-president for GP Energy Services, commented: "We expect demand for training new and existing power plant personnel on new equipment and environmental control systems to continue to grow. We are very pleased to provide workforce training support services to our many valued clients, as they continue to invest in improving the knowledge and skills of their workforces."
