Liverpool, NY - Young & Franklin is pleased to offer compact analog PID controllers to our customers in the power generation industry. The Y&F 8605 Series PID controllers are available for servo control of Y&F electrohydraulic fuel valves and are also suitable for any other application requiring closed loop control for pressure, flow, position or temperature.
The 8605 controller offers a targeted solution for analog closed loop servo control issues such as set point drift, field serviceability, installation headaches and size constraints. Advanced circuit design improves performance and minimizes drift from temperature variation.
Young & Franklin works in partnership with third party retrofitters and OEM's worldwide on turbine fuel control solutions and incorporated their insights into the 8605 controller design.
"Our customers asked for our help finding solutions to their servo control challenges," says Eric Sohne, Director, Sales and New Business Development. "We responded by designing a compact package that is easy to install, improves control and repeatability under varying temperature conditions."
Field setup is simple with pluggable field wiring terminals and manually adjustable potentiometer dials for setting gain and time constants. Installing Y&F's standard-board controller is a "snap" with Y&F's unique single point release feature for DIN rail mounting.
Y&F 8605 Series controllers have been field tested for over three years and the feedback has been outstanding. Field service personnel tell us they like the ease of installation and scaled potentiometer dials for adjusting the gains and time constants.
Located in Liverpool, NY, USA, Young & Franklin is known for delivering robust, reliable hydraulic fuel control designs globally for customers such as GE Energy, Solar Turbines, Pratt & Whitney and Siemens Westinghouse. For more information visit www.yf.com/PID.
