Report of the Individual Review of the Greenhouse Gas Inventories of the UK and Northern Ireland Submitted in 2007 and 2008

20 January 2010

This report covers the centralised review of the 2007 and 2008 greenhouse gas inventory submissions of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In 2006, emissions from industrial processes decreased by 53.3% from 1990 levels.

This report details the new findings and the reclassification system the UK has used. The key drivers for the fall in emissions in the UK have been the decline in emissions from the energy industries, manufacturing industries and construction, and fugitive emissions from fuels.
