This paper looks into four key themes in global nuclear safety, elaborating on international cooperation and emerging coordination for new and expanding nuclear power programmes as the first theme.

It also focuses on other themes including long-term management of radioactive and nuclear materials, capacity building for sustainable nuclear safety, and strengthening of global and regional networking activities.
