UK Nuclear Horizons
13 September 2011The contribution of nuclear energy in the nation's energy mix and its importance has been identified by UK-based National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) through its white paper, which was released in March 2011.
The paper provides an independent review of the areas which must be considered and addressed if a successful expansion of nuclear energy is to be achieved in the UK.
NNL lists the areas in the nuclear sector which must be developed and proposes options for moving forward to produce a subsequent UK nuclear energy roadmap.
A range of nuclear scenarios against 15 key topics which are expected to be pertinent to evaluating nuclear energy has been reviewed by NNL in this paper.
